Saltaire Retrofit Reimagined is an ongoing prototype for a community centred home retrofit project.  Working within the Saltaire World Heritage Site we are engaging with the community of homeowners, tenants and landlords to understand their perspective of what an energy and insulation retrofit programme needs to be.  Informed by this engagement we have produced bespoke and heritage sensitive guidance for making upgrades to the listed homes. Too many retrofit and energy initiatives fail to achieve their projected impact due to the lack of an adequate interface with specific communities and building types, we want to help make that connection to ensure funding is well spent.
